Family Housing Fund welcomes 2026 Pulitzer-Prize winner Brian Goldstone to discuss the human cost of the housing crisis and local solutions.

In his book There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America, Brian Goldstone follows the stories of five Atlanta families struggling to remain housed – illuminating the personal impacts of the housing crisis.
“Through intimate, novelistic portraits, Goldstone reveals the human cost of this crisis, following parents and their kids as they go to sleep in cars, or in squalid extended-stay hotel rooms, and head out to their jobs and schools the next morning. These are the nation’s hidden homeless—omitted from official statistics, and proof that overflowing shelters and street encampments are only the most visible manifestation of a far more pervasive problem.”
Join us for a conversation with Mr. Goldstone to dig deep into the findings of his book, learn about complex national housing challenges, and come away with a stronger understanding of local efforts to improve housing affordability and access.
The program will run from 4pm to 5pm followed by a reception from 5pm to 7pm.
