Twin Cities Housing Policy Finder

Apr 2020

Cities throughout the Twin Cities region are advancing housing agendas to meet the needs of low- and moderate-income families. Local governments have an important role to play in promoting the optimal use of public resources, processes, and powers to support affordable homes and investments that benefit the whole community.

The Twin Cities Housing Policy Finder tracks local housing affordability and preservation policies throughout the region. Download this resource to find links to policies and ordinances for NOAH (naturally-occurring affordable housing) preservation, inclusionary and mixed-income requirements, tenant protections when buildings are sold, and regulations for accessory dwelling units.

This resource was developed in partnership with the Urban Land Institute – MN and was last updated on April 24, 2020.
