Dec 2015

The Affordable Housing Incentive Fund (AHIF) was created by the Hennepin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board of Commissioners to work with municipalities, other government and nonprofit agencies to encourage the preservation and creation of long-term affordable housing throughout Hennepin County.

Kingsley Commons in Minneapolis, developed by CommonBond Communities, received $394,380 in AHIF funding in 2004 and 2005. The 45-unit development provides affordable, community-based independent living opportunities for persons with multiple sclerosis and similar illnesses. The project is located at 4550 Humboldt Avenue North.
