Mike LaFave

Mike LaFave is a Senior Program Officer at the Family Housing Fund. He brings more than 25 years of senior leadership in community development to Family Housing Fund, having served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Neighborhood Development Center for over decade, and, most recently, as Senior Vice President for Housing Stability at Project for Pride in Living where he oversaw all housing activity, including new development, property management, resident services and asset management. Mike also operated his own consulting firm, Community Capital Consulting, that was focused on advancing high impact community development projects through creative capital structuring, capacity enhancement, and outcome-focused strategy development. Mike has a Juris Doctor and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor’s degree in African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
