David Wade is the ADU outreach coordinator for the Family Housing Fund. He works with neighborhood organizations and homeowners across the Twin Cities region to promote the benefits of accessory dwelling units (ADU). Through public presentations, articles, and media outreach, he shares Home + home: Twin Cities ADU Guidebook and helps homeowners increase their knowledge of and interest in building an ADU. David’s passion for housing began when he worked in real estate analysis and economic development in Oregon. The work taught him how critical housing is to community stability. He first began advising homeowners on ADUs in Oregon before relocating to Minnesota. David began his career as a social worker serving the families of migrant agricultural workers in Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oregon.
