Cherie Shoquist is a program officer at the Family Housing Fund, where she leads an emergent and adaptive portfolio of grants, investments, and collaborative initiatives that address issues that limit housing choices for individuals and families. Prior to joining the Family Housing Fund, Cherie led housing work in state and local government, recently serving the cities of Golden Valley, Bloomington, and Minneapolis. Cherie is passionate about collaborating to preserve and increase the supply of affordable housing and to develop interventions that disrupt housing policy and practices that disproportionately and negatively impact Black, Indigenous and households of color. Cherie is a Housing Development Finance Professional and holds a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Minnesota.
