Home Sweet Home Again

Project Description

The Sound of a Nickel | Chandra Bloodgood

I have two jobs.
I have two nickels.
I don’t have a home.

Every minute of the day I pray for a home.

I’ve got two nickels to rub together.
I don’t have a home.

There are 1,440 minutes in a day.

I’ve got two nickels.
I rub them together.
I don’t have a home.

Three kids sit at my dinner table each night.
One husband asks me to rub his aching back.

I have two nickels in my pocket.
They clang when I walk.
I don’t have a home.
